Frequently asked questions
What makes your approach to birth doula services unique?
With my nursing background, I bring a unique and informed approach to my doula care. I have extensive experience communicating effectively with doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, and navigating hospital policies and procedures. The healthcare system feels like a second home to me, allowing me to support you with confidence and ease.
Do you only attend hospital births?
No, I am here to assist with any type of birth (vaginal or c-section), regardless of the location (home, birth center, hospital, etc.
How would you describe your doula style?
My approach as a doula is flexible and tailored to your unique needs. Every client I work with is different, with their own expectations and desires. My role is to support you and honor your preferences. This journey isn’t about me—it’s entirely ABOUT YOU!
Do you provide backup doula's if you are unable to attend my birth?
Yes, I am a proud member of the Rochester Doula Co-op. As part of this supportive community, we doulas provide backup services for one another in case of personal emergencies, ensuring continuous care for our clients.
I am fully committed to being there for your birth. Supporting you during this special moment is one of my highest priorities as your doula.
Can you share a brief story or example of how you've helped a family during labor and delivery?
One of my top priorities is to ensure the birth partner or a family member (if present) becomes an active and central source of support throughout the birthing process. As a doula, my role is not to replace their support but to enhance it—guiding and empowering everyone involved to provide the best possible care and encouragement for the birthing person.
